How It Works

Dark Mode is a unique feature of Rockstar Car Auction that keeps the final part of the auction private.

• Two (2) minutes before the auction timer runs out, Dark Mode activates, and only bidders who have already placed a bid can keep bidding.
• The auction disappears from public view and is only visible to bidders who have already placed a bid.
• The final price stays private, so only active bidders know the results.

How to Register to Bid

Getting started is easy! Follow these steps to register and place your bids:

1. Click "Register to Bid" – You'll find this button on the home screen, drop-down menu, and every listing page.
2. Enter Your Personal Information – Provide the necessary details to set up your account.
3. Choose a Username – Pick a unique username for your bidding profile.
4. Add Your Credit Card Information – To participate in bidding, you'll need to add your payment details. A valid credit card is required to participate.

Fees

The winning bidder is responsible for a 5% buyer's fee with no upper limit payable to Rockstar Car Auction, in addition to the final sale price. Payment is made in the form of a wire transfer.

Due Diligence

Before placing a bid, it is your responsibility to conduct your own due diligence on any vehicle. We strongly recommend carefully reviewing the listing to ensure you have all the necessary details.

The "Overall Condition" stated in the listing is based on information provided by the seller, while the "Estimated Value" is determined using current market comparables.

Bidding Process

• Bid Hold – A $500 hold will be placed on your credit card when you place a bid. If you do not win the auction, this hold will be released once the auction ends.
• Winning the Auction – If you are the highest bidder, a $500 fee will be charged to your card. The remaining balance must be wired to Rockstar Car Auction.
• Anti-Sniping Protection – To ensure fair bidding, an additional 2 minutes will be added to the auction clock each time a bid is placed in the final moments.

If You Win the Auction

If you are the highest bidder and the reserve price is met, we will provide your contact information to the seller after your payment to Rockstar Car Auction has been processed.

List Your Car with Ease

Selling your car at auction is easy—no need to relocate it! Your vehicle stays with you, and if a buyer requests a viewing, it can be arranged. Simply fill out the "Contact Us" form on our website, and our team will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Fees

Rockstar Car Auction charges a 5% seller fee, which is only due after the seller has received full payment from the buyer.

Setting a Reserve Price

Sellers can set a reserve price to ensure they won't sell for less than their minimum acceptable price. Alternatively, a no-reserve auction can attract more bids as the car is guaranteed to sell.

Auction Duration

Auctions typically run for 14 days, giving buyers ample time to place bids.

Once your car is sold, Rockstar Car Auction will connect you with the buyer to arrange payment and finalize the transaction. Payment should be completed within one week of the auction closing and is typically completed via wire transfer or cashier's check.

We strongly recommend that the buyer and seller draft a bill of sale to document the transaction. Before making payment, the buyer should request a picture of the title to verify ownership.

If the vehicle has an outstanding loan, the loan must be paid off before the buyer completes the payment. Alternatively, the buyer can send the payoff amount directly to the lender, with the remaining balance paid to the seller.

If Your Car Doesn't Sell

If your vehicle doesn't meet the reserve, we'll work with the highest bidder to negotiate a post-auction sale.

Exclusivity Policy

Once your car is listed with Rockstar Car Auction, it must be sold exclusively through our platform. Any attempt to sell it elsewhere during the auction will result in cancellation and account suspension.
